The cenotaph on Dallas Square is still used as a memorial site on remembrance day, attended every year by many people. City Parks Department maintains this little park and replaces wilted flowers with new plants throughout the season.
This is the view of this memorial from a bench adjacent to the Dorchester Hotel. As is often the case, when the drawing was layed out, a car parked in front covering a section of the monument and obscuring my view. I was hoping that some by passers would stop in front, for a minute so that I could use them as a model, not such luck. I had to improvise the figures that are there now.
