Sketch-It

Plein-air pen and wash on paper

Nearing the end of Summer

Last Sunday was probably one of only a few days left this summer to sketch outside in nice warm weather. This heritage building was on my list of subjects to sketch, so here it is. I spent a lot of time on drawing, measuring proportions of the building elements. The cold blue appearance is a result of the settings on my camera; white balance I think.

This building is located on the corner of Fitzwilliam and Selby Street, it houses a furniture store called the Teak Tree. As the name suggests, it is packed with unique wood products made of hardwood originating from Asia.
