Plein-air pen and wash on paper

Artwalk, Day One

The weather was reasonable and many people trotted through ArtziStuff  in downtown Nanaimo where I was set up to display and sell my summertine sketches.

I was set up with a chair and a small table, and in between chatting with visitors, I had time to make a sketch of Chapel Street.

This store is quite unique in that it offers a large variety of work for the most part made by local artists and artisans.

For my second sketch I focused on a table stacked with very nicely crafted wooden bowls and utinsels.

Today looks very promising as the sun is shining making the downtown and the waterfront areas of Nanaimo attractive to visit.
