Plein-air pen and wash on paper

Colourful Shops

At the corner of Fitzwilliam and Wallace Streets in Nanaimo one can find a row of small heritage buildings that have been renovated  with careful attention to detailing and with an appealing display of colours. It is the same street-scape from yesterday’s post, except that is is observed from the opposite direction.

The office building in the background has an interesting shape and forms a fitting backdrop to the main focus of this picture. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill serves up a nice salad and a miraculous NY style pizza.
