Did you notice that Mondays are often nice sunshine days after a weekend of rain and wind? When working full time I would sometimes take a day off on a sunny Monday. Well today the conditions were perfect for a bikeride; any remaining snow and ice is gone after a week of rain. I took the southern route through Bowen Park, Buttertubs, the University, Colliery Dam Park, Chase River and back to downtown via Haliburton Street. Across the street from Bowen Park is a auto repair shop with bright green colors, that I used to make today’s sketch.
However, I did not have a green color marker in my backpack, only yellow and sepia in addition to the black pen to put in some shading. Perhaps I will repeat the process sometime in the future (St. Patrick’s Day coming up soon), using green colors.
