Plein-air pen and wash on paper

Friday’s Cold Bikeride

Last Friday I ventured out for a ride on my bicycle along the southern route, and stopped  at Buttertubs Marsh to sit down on a bench and  make a sketch.

It was quick sketch as it was too cold to sit for long. It was finished at home while warming up with a cup of tea, using watercolor markers (payne’s grey and burned umber) and a water brush pen. The empty spaces above and below the drawing are respectively the sky and the pond.
