Plein-air pen and wash on paper

The Dinghy Dock

Most of my Wednesday was dedicated to finishing this painting of the Dinghy Dock from a series of photographs using 9″ x 22″ Fabriano cold pressed paper. I got a roll of this stuff through our local art supply store; Iron Oxide, who have a huge selection of materials and provide customer service that is second to none, compared to the big city outfits.

This is the second attempt on this scene and a third one is on the boards and is partly finished; it will be tomorrow’s task to see to
that. The first one was publicized on February 16. It was much smaller in size.
