Sketch-It

Plein-air pen and wash on paper

Travel Sketches

We are presently travelling in Quebec with less than ideal weather, clouds, showers and temperatures in the mid teens.

We still get a lot of sightseeing done, some sketching, a lot of walking and some fine dining.

Here are my pen drawings from Montreal and Quebec City. The trick is to find a comfortable spot out of the rain. I use a Sharpie pen on Fabriano 9 x 12 cold press paper in anticipation of painting with water colour.

I am looking forward to a change of weather so I can get set up for some painting.
